My name is Carmen De Vito and I am a professional garden designer and Certified New York State Landscape professional.

Now I want to help you create your own outdoor sanctuary, whether it’s your first garden or your newest.
I come from a long line of gardeners- many generations back in my native Italy and am the 2nd generation to put roots down in U.S. soil. I have gardening in my blood and I want to help you create the garden or yard of your dreams. My natural affinity is coupled with Design and Horticulture training at the New York Botanical Garden.

I have worked on some of the most challenging outdoor spaces and created hundreds of beautiful, practical, and eco-friendly green spaces on rooftops, in backyards as well as in large suburban gardens and estates.
My experience designing and building gardens as well as supervising numerous trades from masons to carpenters to irrigations specialists can help simplify the process for you. I can help you see the project through, from inception to completion.
I believe in using gardens and outdoor spaces for the greater good and believe that gardens and outdoor spaces should be healthy, environmentally sustainable environments that are good for enhancing the health of people, nature, and the planet.
I know how to help you maximize the space you’ve got, help you work with and enhance the materials, plants, and trees you already have, and create an outdoor place to use and enjoy for you and your family.

Carmen DeVito has worked closely with me to install my firm’s projects in NYC for almost 20 years. In that time she and her team installed many gardens and plazas both on the ground as well as rooftop gardens in NYC.
Many of these projects required detailed and difficult logistics and planning; her firm was sometimes the prime contractor directing a team of subcontractors that included carpentry, masonry, and irrigation elements in addition to plants. Whatever her role, Carmen’s involvement ensured a successful project.
