GardenCult- Origin Story
My Italian heritage that goes back generations has inspired me to create Garden Cult to reflect our ancient connections to the landscape, the natural world and to gardens, both beautiful and productive.
To the Ancient Romans, Pomona was the protectress of gardens and orchards and was the most skilled at the horticultural arts. She was worshipped and prayed to for a bountiful harvest and for guidance in the planning and planting of gardens. Her cult had a sacred grove called the Pomonal located outside the city of Rome, remnants of which may still exist.
Pomona was my muse and was the inspiration for numerous artists through the centuries. You can read more about her here.
